We decided to take one last scenic drive before we turn in
our car this afternoon. So we headed off
into the Wicklow Mountain area south of Dublin along some scenic routes. We have found that all routes in Ireland are scenic
routes but some more so than others.
Some of the roads were lined with trees making them shady and
a bit magical.
Ireland is coming up on major Europe Elections and some of
the intersections looked just like those in the US leading up to an election.
Late afternoon we turned the car in and then caught a bus
back into Dublin. It stopped just across
the street from our hotel so it was very convenient.
This evening we had a dinner show at the oldest pub in Ireland, established in 1178.
The evening included a couple of “crusty”
old guys on guitars and a storyteller.
The stories were interesting but the Storyteller needed to up her game
to be a good storyteller.
